These terms govern your use of the Loam mountain-bike app. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. Please read the safety and disclaimer sections carefully: Loam helps you plan maintenance, but it is not a substitute for professional service advice.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Loam on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial ride and maintenance tracking. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app, or attempt to reverse engineer it except to the extent the law allows.
A free app
Loam is a free app. There is no paid unlock, subscription, or trial to activate. If you choose to support development through an optional donation, that is voluntary and gives you no additional rights or obligations under these terms.
Service guidance is informational, not professional advice
Loam calculates service intervals from your ride hours and distance using conservative, general manufacturer guidance. These figures are informational estimates to help you plan and are not professional maintenance advice. Always verify against your bike's and each component's official owner's manual and service schedule, and have work carried out or checked by a qualified bike mechanic. Riding conditions, terrain, load, and use change real wear. You are responsible for keeping your bike in a safe, rideable condition.
Ride safely
Do not operate or interact with your phone while riding. Start, stop, and review rides while stopped and safely off the trail or road. Obey all traffic and trail rules and ride within your ability and conditions. Your safety and the safety of others always comes before any feature of this app.
No manufacturer affiliation
Loam is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any bicycle, component, or drivetrain manufacturer. Manufacturer names and models are used only to identify your equipment and to reference general service guidance.
Provided as is
Loam is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its calculations will be accurate for your specific bike or riding.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Because Loam is a free app, nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the competent courts of Israel have jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits or waives any mandatory consumer-protection, privacy, or other rights that cannot legally be waived under the law that applies to you. Where Israeli statutory consumer rights apply, they prevail over anything inconsistent in these terms.
